The Pirates of My Soul: A Transformational Voyage to Self-Empowerment is a personal memoir of self-empowerment attained by:
- breaking negative relationship patterns;
- finding your self-worth;
- identifying the signs of a toxic relationship;

- self-awareness; and
- understanding the impact of family relationships.
This memoir is based on my dating stories, told in a relatable and easy-to-read style. I chose to write about romantic relationships because for many, those are the most confusing. However, relationships being what they are, a lot of what happens in a romantic one can happen in any relationship.
While sharing my experiences, I focus on common, yet often devastating, dating and relationship issues. As the story unfolds, I reveal how I found my power (again) and created the space for healthier relationships.
I believe my story is entertaining and insightful. Additionally, I like to make things useful and practical. Therefore, throughout the chapters, I provide dating and relationship advice.
In so doing, it ultimately becomes a modern, motivational, non-fiction self-help book. However, not the kind with a step-by-step process, but rather a teaching-through-example style.
